According to ancient Greek mythology, Aphrodite is the Goddess love, sexuality and beauty. She is also said the protectors of sailors, saint guardian of prostitutes and the Goddess of pure and passionate love. Like many Greek Goddess there are many conflicting stories about the birth of Aphrodite. According to Homer Aphrodite was the daughter of Zeus. On the other hand Hesiod wrote that Aphrodite was born in the sea from the sex organs of God Uranus while his son Cronus cut it off and threw it in the sea.
Because of her beauty every God denied her to marry as they were feared that the other Gods might have jealousies and which may turn into a threat for their peace. But Goddess Aphrodite had many lovers both Gods and humans. Like other Goddess Aphrodite was not a great warrior to won a war but she had her own technique to achieve something. She influenced both Gods and humans to her own needs by her deceptive love.
Aphrodite had children with several Gods like Ares, Eros, Harmonia, Anteros, Phobos, Poseidon, Rhode, Dionysus, Priapus, Hymen and Hermes. She had also children with two humans Adonis and Phaethon. Though Aphrodite was only a myth millions of literature, sculpture and paintings have made him alive. Love is forever and so is Goddess Aphrodite.
