Football God Diego Maradona: A Biography










Argentine midfielder Diego Maradona is renowned all over the world as a greatest footballer of all time. In his international career he scored a total of 34 goals and earned approximately 91 cups. He has attended in 4 world cup tournaments and as a captain of the Argentina team won the 1986 world cup defeating West Germany. Diego Armando Maradona was born in 3oth October 1960 in Lanus of Argentina in a very poor family. In the age of 10 he joined in the Argentina junior football team as a ball boy and draw the attraction of the audiences by his amazing football magic during the half time break. He started his football career in the Argentina juniors club in 1976 and played in this club for 5 years. Then he played for Boca juniors, Barcelona and Napoli. During his career in Napoli he started to become famous all over the world and established a new world record by contacting £9.9m signing money with this club. 
 
 
 
 
As a player of the Argentine football team he took part in 4 world cups and in 1986 led the Argentine team successfully. In 1986 world cup he raised on the top of his fame with his outstanding performance. The goal made by him in this tournament against England in the quarter final match is considered as “The Goal of The Century” by FIFA. Maradona faced a lot of personal problems and continued to take cocaine. While playing with Napoli, he was punished €70,000 fine for this reason. His playing and health condition was affected in huge due to the cocaine addiction and finally took retirement from international football in 1994. After passing a long year behind the scenario he has elected the Coach of Argentina National Football Team in 2008.
