G3 Concerts : A gallery of 3rd generation guitar heroes

Joe Satriani, who was a former guitar instructor, organized a concert tour named “G3” featuring him along with Steve Vai & Eric Johnson in the year 1996. This show was very successful and renowned a lot worldwide. After this great success “G3” concerts took places almost every year in different places in the world featuring Joe satriani along with two other guitar heroes. 

Steve Vai, who was a former student of great Joe Satriani, performs almost every year with Satriani in “G3” concerts. The other guitar heroes are Eric Johnson, John Petrucci, Yngwie Malmsteen, Brian May, Steve Morse, Marty Friedman, Paul Gilbert and many more. Dream Theater is the band who had their two band members in the “G3” Concerts and they were John Petrucci on guitar and Mike Portnoy on drums in the year of 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2007. The “G3” concerts are considered as a gallery of 3^rd generation guitar heroes and have created a new era of modern rock music. The last “G3” tour was held in 2007 during two months in various locations of North America featuring Joe Satriani, John Petrucci and Paul Gilbert. This was the 5^th North American and 13^th worldwide tour of “G3”. The 3^rd generation guitar heroes are coming in Australia for their 14^th rocking tour because of they just wanna rock you……..And they will do it just like not of this Earth’s!!!
